This is a fantastic practice where patient comfort and individual needs come first and, as soon as you walk through the door you receive a lovely welcome from Louisa.
Andy is the best dentist! His calm, professional manner and clear explanations put you at ease immediately, the dental nurses and hygienist I've seen have all been amazing too.
It is rare to find a team that works so well together to make you feel safe and cared for. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Great experience. All of the staff are reassuring and thoroughly professional. I came to No 4 for an implant as a very nervous patient, and I’ve never had such a calm and amazingly pain free dental experience, with great results too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend No 4 to anyone.

A big shout for Zoe , Andys nurse , always welcoming and full of reassuring words . And , for Luisa , the practice Manager . Luisas organisational skills are exceptional , managing to make me numerous appointments around my busy diary and promptly replying to any messages left .

I highly recommend No.4 Dental Studio. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
At No.4 you’re not rushed, you feel really looked after and the team are brilliant at what they do. I had four crown replacements on my front top teeth. It was a sensitive situation for me as I had an accident a couple of years ago and never felt confident with my smile. Andy patiently walked me through my options and made every effort to ensure I was happy with the end result, and I really am. Andy, Zoe and Luisa went above and beyond for me. The care and flexibility at this practice is something you won’t find anywhere else.
If you’re considering joining as a new dental patient here, you won’t regret it. By far the best dentist I have ever been to and I can’t thank the team enough for making me feel happy with my smile again.

Had an emergency appointment here today and Andy and team are fab!! Will be my first appointment of many to get my nashers in ship shape. Will definitely be an ongoing client.
Absolutely definitely recommend. Booked in for a wisdom tooth extraction next week which, while I’m not looking forward to it at all, is honestly a lot cheaper than I expected which is always a bonus. I went in very anxious and I left feeling reassured - I couldn’t recommend them all enough.
Fab location, lovely rooms and felt very welcoming as opposed to clinical. Really nice space.
Thank you so much. Really glad I booked with you guys.

I am so pleased I found No 4 Dental Studio when I moved to the area. I am a nervous patient but no longer so! Andy put me at ease straightaway. He explained the procedures I would undergo in great detail, listened to me and gave me the confidence to go ahead. Luisa was always there for me on the phone if I had any questions or concerns regarding my treatment. The studio itself offers a calm and peaceful environment which was important to me. I am truly grateful to the entire team for taking such good care of me and my teeth! I would highly recommend No 4 Dental Studio to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Considering dental implants?
There’s nothing quite like your own teeth for effective biting, smiling and chewing. You need confidence that replacement teeth will look, feel and function just like your own.
Dental implants are as close as you can get to having your natural teeth back, so you can eat the things you like, and smile your full, natural, confident smile.
Andy Berwick has completed over 500 dental implants for patients from Ripon, Thirsk, Northallerton, Boroughbridge, Harrogate and further afield throughout North Yorkshire. You can be sure you’re in good hands.
All-on-6 Dental Implants: Full Arch fixed bridge fit
Using digital planning and design, we were able to fit same-day teeth so Fiona was not left with spaces at any stage.
See in the video how the final bridge is fitted after full healing
Andy was excellent throughout the whole process of my dental implant. I had suffered for years with my tooth after an injury but since having the implant it’s perfect. Being anxious about dentists in general I was apprehensive to have an implant but Andy made me feel comfortable at every stage of the treatment. I’m so pleased with the results, I highly recommend Andy and the whole team as they are very friendly and caring.

9 Reasons to choose dental implants
Dental implants are fixed in place, not removable
They are self-supporting, so they don’t put any strain on your other teeth (like bridges and dentures)
You can enjoy eating a normal healthy diet confidently and with ease
They look and feel natural so you can smile confidently
Dental implants last longer than other types of replacement teeth, with 90-95% success at 10 years
They prevent adjacent teeth from drifting into gaps, causing problems with cleaning, biting and chewing
Plaque removal is easier because dental implants eliminate gaps
Your natural teeth are preserved because there’s no need to shave enamel down as with a bridge
Dental implants help to preserve your natural jawbone, which prevents shrinkage and the appearance of ageing
Are dental implants for me?
If you suffer because of your missing teeth, dental implants may well be for you.
Implants are a great solution for most adults, with very few barriers to treatment. Even in the situation where some preliminary care may be required, we can help you with this.
Before we agree to start your implant treatment, this is what we look for:
You have good dental and gum health – we can help you achieve this if needs be
Your general health is good-to-fair – most common health conditions, including osteoporosis, are not an obstacle
You’re a non-smoker – or are willing to quit
We’ll check how much bone you have – we can add extra bone if you’re a little short
You’re motivated to look after your implants – we’ll help you with everything you need to do to look after your new teeth
Age is not a barrier – it’s just a number.
About dental implants
What are Dental Implants?
The implant is a titanium post which is designed and shaped so it can replace a natural tooth root. The implant fuses to the jawbone which creates a strong foundation to support a replacement tooth.
After the implant has fully healed, our dental technician creates a custom-made crown to fit onto your implant. They will design your crown so it matches your other teeth and fits into your bite to give the most natural possible result.
We use a small holding screw to secure the crown in place on the implant, and seal over the small access hole to finish.
We use BioHorizons dental implants. BioHorizons manufacture their implants in America and they are one of the world’s leading manufacturers. They have decades of research and development, so you can be safe in the knowledge that your implant is of the highest quality.
How can we use implants?
Single tooth
Multiple teeth
Full set – fixed in place
Full set – secure removable denture
All-on-4 (teeth in a day)
Sometimes called smile-in-a-day or all-on-6.
We’ll always make sure you’re not left with gaps at any stage. Even immediately after your treatment, it’s important to be able to smile.
Often, we can fit teeth directly onto your implants at the same appointment we fit your implants. We can do this with single teeth, multiple teeth or a full set of teeth. This means that you can avoid having a removable denture and go straight to a fixed solution.
This isn’t suitable for everybody. We’d usually have a good idea if this is an option following your CBCT scan, and can plan your treatment to get the best result.
The Implant Journey – What happens during my treatment?
Without Bone Addition
Takes 4-5 months
For you if you already have good bone volume.
We may be able to follow this timeline if you need a tooth extracting with no abscess present.
Month 0

Month 1
Fitting your implant (including tooth extraction if needed)
Andy Berwick is the implant dentist at No.4. Andy has a great deal of experience with implants so we would usually provide your care from start to finish.
If your regular dentist has referred you to us for treatment, then they may choose to fit your implant crown themselves.
How much do dental implants cost in Ripon?
The starting price for a simple, single tooth dental implant is £2,990.
Everybody is different, so once you’ve visited us, we can provide you with a fully personalised quote for your chosen solution.
If you have a fixed budget, we’ll talk through different options for you so you get the maximum benefit from your investment
If you have good bone and good dental health, then we can often complete your treatment in around 4 months.
If we need to add extra bone to support your implants, then your treatment usually takes around 8 months.
How long do dental implants last?
Implants are the longest-lasting type of solution for replacing a missing tooth. They are much more predictable than alternatives such as bridges or dentures.
If you look after your dental implants well at home, and come for your regular dental and hygiene appointments, many will last for decades
BioHorizons implants are based and manufactured in the USA. They are one of the world’s leading manufacturers with decades of research and development behind them.
You can be safe in the knowledge that your implants are manufactured to the highest quality
What if I don’t have enough bone for dental implants?
We’ll check how much bone you have when you visit for your assessment and planning.
If you have less than the ideal amount, we can usually add extra bone before or alongside your dental implant. This means that your implant is well-supported going forwards
Does it hurt to have dental implants?
You’ll be surprised how comfortable your dental implant treatment is.
We’ll give you plenty of anaesthetic to keep you comfortable during your appointments.
It’s normal of course to be a little sore for a short while afterwards. We’ll advise you to take some normal painkillers, so you can be back to your normal activities within a few days
