Clear aligners have a number of benefits over train-track braces or other cosmetic options such as porcelain crowns or veneers
Aligners may be right for you if you’re looking for:
Minimally-invasive treatment, requiring little or no enamel removal
A new smile which will look totally natural with your own enamel on show
Barely-visible aligners, so people wouldn’t notice you’re wearing them
A comfortable treatment option, with low-profile aligners that don’t rub on your lips and cheeks

Your teeth and gums are in fair-to-good condition
You clean your teeth effectively at home
Your teeth are crowded and the main thing you’d like to achieve is a straighter smile
It’s common that crowded teeth isn’t the only thing you’d like to change. We can combine your aligner treatment with other solutions to enhance your smile.
Typically, it takes between 6 and 9 months to straighten your teeth.
It may be shorter than this for very mild crowding, or longer for more complex misalignments, but we’ll give you an estimate of the timescale when we plan your treatment.
Teeth straightening fees start from £2,179 for correcting mild crowding.
Costs vary depending on the amount of misalignment present, and we’ll always make sure you have a full quote before starting your treatment
The aligners work by applying gentle pressure to your teeth to gradually move them into position.
You’ll receive a series of aligners, each slightly different to the last. Wearing the aligners in sequence will gradually straighten the teeth until you achieve your new, straight smile.
You’d normally wear each aligner for 22 hours per day for 2 weeks, before moving onto the next.
At the end of your teeth straightening, we’ll provide a set of retainers which will hold your teeth in position, keeping your new, straight smile looking as good as new.
Yes, it’s just like invisalign
Invisalign is simply the most well-known manufacturer of clear aligners, but the technology and techniques are widely available.
Using a smaller, local manufacturer means your treatment can be more customised and personalised.
It also means that if an aligner gets lost or broken (maybe the dog chewed it?), you can have a replacement within just a day or two.
